This privacy policy explains how Parlance collects, uses, and protects your personally identifiable information (“PII”). PII, as used in privacy law and information security practices, is information that can be used on its own or in conjunction with other information to identify, contact, or locate you. Parlance collects the following PII:
Name - When you submit a message through the contact form
Email address - When you subscribe to a blog comment thread or submit a message through the contact form
How Parlance uses your information
Parlance uses the PII collected from you when you complete the contact form to respond to your inquiry. When you subscribe to a blog comment thread, your email address is used to update you when new comments are published.
How Parlance protects your information
Parlance takes your privacy seriously and does not share your PII with third parties. Note, however, that any PII that you share as a blog comment will be visible to the public. Parlance is hosted by and managed using Squarespace, which does not support SSL certificates for non-commerce interactions. For this reason, users should not submit confidential or sensitive information via the contact form. Data from the contact form, however, are not stored, used, or sold by Squarespace. They are sent directly to the site owner as an email and nowhere else. Remember that sharing PII over the Internet always carries a risk.
Opting Out/Unsubscribing
In accordance with the CANSPAM Act, Parlance will honor email opt-out/unsubscribe requests promptly. You can opt out of/unsubscribe from future emails or change your PII by emailing tracie @ crush counsel . com.

Parlance uses cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions in order to improve the user experience. The site may also use trusted third-party services, such as Google Analytics, that track this information.
Fair Information Practices
